Don’t be anxious about things; instead, pray. Pray about everything. He longs to hear your requests, so talk to God about your needs and be thankful for what has come. Phil. 4:6 VOICE
From our time in the Congregational Meeting, the elders have called us into a churchwide time of prayer and fasting. Our aim is to unite and seek the Lord during this important period as we begin to search for a new pastor.
Abstain form a meal, or voluntarily give up and enjoyed activity. (e.g. coffee, chocolate, social media.)
We will be following this 21 day prayer devotional. You can follow on the Bible App and follow along with others in the congregation. You do not need to download the app to follow.
Starting July 27, we will gather to pray at 7a and 7p, Monday through Saturday. You do not need to attend both of the meetings but we wanted to have two options available.

After a few weeks off, I wanted to invite you guys to a slightly different format for City of Refuge's Saturday morning Pray for the World. We'll be at a different time - 7:30-8:15am. At the beginning, we will orient ourselves with some scripture or brief teaching on God's heart for all peoples (7:30-7:45) and then we will pray for the country focus for this week (7:45-8:15).
Feel free to come to just part or all of the time - we understand people are busy and we appreciate your presence for whatever time you give us with you :)
Why should we pray for the world when there is SO MUCH needing prayer right here, including our own friends and family? Well, #1: come Saturday at 7:30-7:45 to find out. #2: even in our suffering, our God also calls us to face outwardly and continue pursuing all of what is on his heart. And #3: if this is what it's like here in our country and city, where there are many believers who can offer real hope in Jesus, what must it be like elsewhere, where there may not be a church within 100 miles! How dark must that darkness be.
Thanks & Love,
Saturday morning prayer group
