I spent about half an hour decluttering and cleaning my office this morning. I never intentionally planned for my office to get cluttered, but over weeks and months of meetings and ministry, books and papers have stacked up everywhere.
As a church, we’ll be cleaning and decluttering this Saturday. As a staff, we’ve already started some of the pre-work. Quite a bit of clutter has accumulated over the years! I think we could have our own yard sale of unique items uncovered and discovered.
Our hearts, like our offices and homes, get cluttered. In Luke 8:14, Jesus tells us that our hearts get cluttered by worries, riches, and pleasures. Like weeds in a garden, they sprout. What are the weeds in your heart that need to be decluttered, so that you can grow spiritually?
