Krispy Kreme

O taste and see that the Lord is good Psalm 34:8a NASB

A sparkling new Krispy Kreme Donuts shop just opened right by our house. My daughter texted me that there were Krispy Kreme boxes all over her high school today. Picture dozens and dozens of boxes, each containing a dozen warm gooey glazed donuts.

Have you ever visited a Krispy Kreme when their glowing red hot-and-ready light is on? As you enter, an employee will ask, “Would you like a free sample?”

The Free Sample has never been sitting around for hours on a rack. The Free Sample is plucked hot and fresh from the assembly line. They want you to taste their best, most delectable, morsel, so that you will crave more. And we all know one donut is never enough.

In the same way, when people taste the goodness of the Lord, they should desire more. When we demonstrate God’s goodness to the world, we are the free sample. In a morally and spiritually tasteless world, the aroma of Christ and His followers should be irrestible.
