We love our Kids!
We want them to learn about Jesus! We will keep them safe and secure while in our care. We have mucho fun on Sunday mornings and in special activities throughout the year.
The Children’s Ministry staff prays weekly for the infants, toddlers, preschoolers and elementary students who participate in our various programs. All children are nurtured well, loved well, and taught well.
Sunday morning activities always include Bible stories and interactive activities.
Age-specific programming allows kids to learn from God’s Word and apply it to their daily lives. Small classes of toddlers, preschoolers, and children all the way through fifth grade meet during the 9:30 hour. In Kids’ Worship at the 11:00 hour, children in kindergarten through fifth grade praise the Lord and hear the Word of God through large-group object lessons geared just for kids. Reinforcement of concepts comes through games, crafts, singing, and dancing. Preschoolers have separate activities.
The first Sunday of each month, City of Refuge promotes family worship. At 11:00, all kindergartners through fifth graders worship with their parents. Pick up a Kids Worship Bag for each child at the entrance to the Worship Center.
As important as the spiritual development of children is to us, we believe that parents are the primary spiritual caregivers of their children. The church family and children’s ministry are privileged to come alongside parents in this process. Please let us know how we can be of assistance and how we can pray for you and your family. Our goal for Children’s Ministry is for all children to grow more Christ-like. We are here for you and your family; don’t hesitate to give us a shout with questions, suggestions, or concerns.
