The City of Refuge champions many organizations working diligently and prayerfully in the Houston community to meet local needs and spread the gospel to a broken world.

Our Team Focuses On 

  • Partnering with organizations within Houston’s Third Ward/South Union area
  • Supporting individuals with personal connections to COR who undertake local Christian ministries, particularly with a focus on international students and students at local universities
  • COR-led missions work

  • Volunteer to serve on the Community Partners Team for at least a one-year commitment

Current Partnerships

Agape works with youth and adults in the Houston's South Union seeking to transform the neighborhood by preparing Christ-following, independent, community-minded leaders, creating opportunity for individuals regardless of circumstances.

Square Inch Houston is a non-profit organization rooted in Houston's historic Third Ward neighborhood that seeks social and spiritual renewal for the community through the development of leaders within the Third Ward. The Scholarship for Academics, Leadership and Transformation (SALT) program is a year long discipleship, leadership formation, and community engagement program that offers students at Texas Southern University an opportunity to be mentored and invested in by local community leaders in the Greater Third Ward.

Young Life starts with adults concerned enough about kids to go to them, on their turf and in their culture, building bridges of authentic friendship.
