I am honored, humbled, and a little nervous to be selected to serve as an elder.
We have been attending the city of refuge for 13 or 14 years, and we expect to be here until we are put in the ground. This is the community we have chosen and we do not expect perfection from it. (I hope you do not expect perfection from your elders... because, spoiler alert, I am a sinner.) My wife, Ann, is the very best earthly gift that I have, followed closely by my three kids. As an elder, I hope to take a special interest in the development of families as it is a personal and professional passion for me.
